Daypath

Daypath Privacy Policy

Effective August 20, 2026

Daypath is made by Rock Solid Creative Studios LLC. This policy explains what the app does with your information. It is short, because Daypath collects none of it.

The short version

Daypath has no accounts, no servers and no analytics. Your calendar is read on your device and never sent anywhere. We cannot see your events, your day, where you are, or how you use the app.

What stays on your device

  • Your calendar events. Daypath reads them through Apple's EventKit, with your permission, to draw them along the sun's arc. They are never copied off the device and never sent to us.
  • The place you choose. The town or city you pick, and its coordinates, so that sunrise and sunset are right for where you are.
  • Your preferences. Waking hours, which calendars are shown, your protected-time words, the palette, the language, and whether Daypath Pro is unlocked.
  • A few counters. Local tallies, such as how many days you have opened the app, used only to decide when to ask you for an App Store review. They are never used to build a profile.

All of it lives in the app's own storage, shared with the Daypath widget so it can draw the same day. Deleting the app deletes all of it.

What leaves your device

Two things, and both go to Apple rather than to us.

  • City search. When you search for a town, what you type is sent to Apple Maps so it can be found. Apple handles that request under Apple's own privacy policy. We never see it, and it is not tied to your identity by us.
  • Purchases. Daypath Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple takes the payment and tells the app whether it was bought. We never see your payment details, your name or your Apple Account.

If you have chosen in iOS Settings to share crash data and App Store analytics with developers, Apple may pass us anonymous crash reports and aggregate statistics. That is Apple's channel, and it does not identify you.

What Daypath does not do

  • No accounts and no sign-in.
  • No advertising and no ad networks.
  • No tracking, no third-party analytics, no tracking software of any kind.
  • No location permission. The app never asks for one.
  • No selling or sharing of personal information, because none is collected.

Calendar access

Daypath asks for calendar access so that it can draw your day. It does not create, change or delete events by itself. When you open an event, the screen you see is Apple's own event view, which carries Apple's Edit button: anything changed there is a change you made yourself, on your device.

Children

Daypath is not directed at children, and collects no personal information from anyone, of any age.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal information about you, there is nothing for us to look up, correct, export or delete. To remove the information held on your device, delete the app. If you have a question about privacy, write to daypath@rocksolidcreativestudios.com.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will appear at this address with a new effective date.
