On Set
A day behind camera, not a month.
On most independent features the edit starts weeks after wrap, once the crew has scattered and the locations are gone. We offer another option: an editor there on set, cutting on location and staying about a day behind camera for the length of the shoot.
Independent features are the sweet spot: a 10 to 15 day schedule, 6 to 9 pages of coverage a day. At that pace the volume coming off camera matches what our editorial can cut.
Missing coverage surfaces while the location is still standing and the cast is still in wardrobe, when the fix is an extra setup rather than a reshoot day. And because the picture is nearly assembled at wrap, finishing starts immediately and the film reaches festivals and buyers weeks earlier.

- Wednesday Full assembly delivered with sound effects, temp color and temp music, with one round of director notes already implemented.
Four days. Every production is scheduled differently, so we scope the plan per project before anyone commits to a date.

From dailies to delivery.
On-Set Editing and DIT
Media offloaded, backed up and verified on location, with scenes assembled as the coverage comes in. Based in the Flint and Detroit area, travelling to the production.
Narrative Editing
Feature and short-form story editing, assembly through picture lock. We focus on structure, pacing and performance, with an eye on festival and streaming delivery.
Visual Effects
Rotoscoping, compositing, keying, object and rig removal, cleanup and set extension. Fixing it in post and empowering stories thought out of reach for an independent budget. Plus on-set VFX supervision available.
Post Producing
Our color and sound team has been with us for years. We can carry the director's vision through color and sound, so the picture moves from first assembly to final delivery without you chasing separate vendors.
